Demil Services

The need for a cost-effective and secure means of conducting DEMIL activities is imperative. America is currently fighting two wars, while simultaneously upgrading the military's primary weapons platform to meet new and emerging threats. Combined with rapid technology change, existing weapons are stressed to very high levels. These stresses are significantly increasing the quantities of materials requiring Demilitarization.

Tri Rinse is the only DEMIL provider in the industry with completely mobile equipment. For the past 10 years, we have used our mobile capabilities to provide worldwide Demilitarization services to completely demilitarize military equipment and other materials including aircraft, vehicle tires, containers, artillery and aerial bombs, small arms, body armor and vehicles. Our mobile Demilitarization services have provided safe and effective destruction that are also environmentally sound and secure. Tri Rinse's DEMIL operations have offered reduction and recycling services that saved an estimated millions of dollars during this time period, as well as increasing revenue return to the DoD and U.S. Treasury by cutting out unnecessary expenses typically included in Demilitarization project budgets and non-value-added middle services.

The main benefit of using Tri Rinse's equipment is the secure, mobile capabilities, allowing us to have operations throughout the world. In addition, our experienced team knows this machinery better than anyone in the industry - because we designed it. Our proprietary equipment is made with quality parts from various manufacturers but designed by our own Tri Rinse team. Trained and knowledgeable personnel are on site to immediately remedy any problem if one should arise, with no downtime costs to the customer. Tri Rinse's qualified DEMIL professionals are committed to maintaining our equipment to the highest level possible, 24/7, worldwide.

As a Demilitarization solution provider, we have observed that to successfully demilitarize equipment and material, there are three mandatory operation and performance factors that must be satisfied:

  • Security/Risk Reduction
  • Cost Reduction/Process Flexibility
  • Accountability

Tri Rinse not only understands these factors, but also incorporates them into our policies, procedures and daily work activities, as well as into our corporate philosophy.

All of our Demilitarization services and processes are accomplished in accordance with DoD 4160.21-M-1 Regulations, which result in reduced material that prevents recognition, reassembly and future use of the item's original purpose. It is important to prevent reverse engineering for duplication by an enemy of the United States.

Attributes:

  • Economy of Scale – Large Scope, Cost-Efficient Mobile Demilitarization Concept: The more tonnage of range residue processed (DEMILed) and removed (released to the public domain for recycling), the lower the cost.
  • Offset Costs – Recycling of “scrap” can offset some of the Mobile Demilitarization cost.
  • DEMIL Machinery – Use of high-capacity machinery, specially designed for ranges and training munitions:
    • Completely self-contained
    • Allow 100% inspection of all processed material
    • Solve range residue certification risk
    • Cost effective and cost reducing
  • Zero Residual Liability for the Customer – Using on-range DEMIL Machinery, 100% of the material will be processed, inspected and certified through the mobile concept to meet all DEMIL requirements. Nothing hazardous will leave the range; therefore, no transportation permits will be required. The Mobile Demilitarization Concept may take custody and responsibility for the DEMILed Range Scrap as part of the pay; therefore, when it leaves the range, it is no longer the DND's responsibility.
