Container ServicesTri Rinse has been improving the container services we offer to customers for over 27 years. These services are extremely important and account for a significant portion of the company's business. Container Services - Customers have the option to use either fixed-base services through the plant in St. Louis, Missouri or mobile services with proprietary-designed equipment. Processing services are designed for plastic and steel containers of all sizes, ranging from one pint to 500-gallon Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), and include numerous recycling and disposal alternatives. All processes follow FIFRA guidelines for pesticide containers, adhere to the Ag Container Recycling Council (ACRC) guidelines for recycling, and include incineration for the disposal of residual waste and rinsewater. Customers have assisted in developing services to meet the highest environmental standards. Container shipments are received in St. Louis daily from across the country. Container Management Programs - Tri Rinse also manages corporate and national container disposal/recycling programs for many of the nation's major manufacturers, distribution/retail corporations, and organizations. These programs cover a wide range of plastic and steel containers from 1- and 2.5-gallon jugs, to 30- and 55-gallon drums, to mini-bulk and tote tanks ranging from 60 to 500 gallons. The corporate programs process and dispose of old and out-of-service containers used by a company's customers, manufacturing plants, contract manufacturers, and others upon approval. Rinse & Return Program – This program provides management support for a company's container fleet, including small and large containers, presently ranging in size from a 40-pound dry-product container to a 500-gallon liquid tank. Upon arrival at Tri Rinse, these containers are inspected for damage and manufacturing dates. Out-of-date and damaged containers are processed and destroyed, while all containers in good condition are thoroughly cleaned inside and out, parts replaced as needed, and entered into the warehouse inventory. The inventory is then drawn upon when containers are needed for filling at manufacturing locations. Storage Tank Services - Tri Rinse provides storage tank and line-cleaning services for above ground tanks ranging in size from 1,000 to 2,000,000 gallons. Chemical content includes pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and other miscellaneous petrochemical products. Tri Rinse also cleans and removes underground storage tanks, such as old, out-of-service fuel tanks. Working closely with customers, Tri Rinse has developed environmental processing protocols for tank cleaning well above the standards used by most companies. The mobile tank crews can be scheduled throughout the year for work in any state. Product Recovery/Pour-Up – The product recovery and pour-up services can be viewed as contract manufacturing in reverse. When a company has surplus, contaminated, or out-of-date product in 2.5-gallon jugs or other containers, and there is a need for it to be transferred to bulk, Tri Rinse provides the reverse process. Tri Rinse has developed systems to decant product at rates from 4,500 to 16,000 gallons per shift, from both small containers and drums, for either delivery in bulk or packaging back into other containers such as mini-bulk tanks. While decanting smaller containers, all packaging components are recycled, including the container, cardboard, and pallet. During seasonal manufacturing, plants and contract manufacturers may find it hard to schedule these projects, especially if they are small (i.e., 3,500 to 20,000 gallons) This is where Tri Rinse can assist. Helping customers with last-minute projects is one of the Tri Rinse specialties, with recent projects ranging from 3,500 to 500,000 gallons. Off-Spec Warehousing - This service focuses on the storage and processing of quality hold, inventory hold, damaged products, etc. A number of customers have warehousing locations with an assortment of old products that have been in storage for some time at substantial expense. The goal of this service is to characterize materials requiring disposal and identify materials that may be re-introduced to the market through Tri Rinse's product recovery and recycling services. Inventory is managed to move selective products in a timely manner with monthly status reports to the customer. Toll Packaging and Repackaging Services – Tri Rinse recently added the service of packaging and repackaging products. With a dedicated system and process area for specific materials, Tri Rinse is able to fill containers ranging in size from 1 quart to bulk. Tri Rinse has filled nearly 500,000 gallons of product with no environmental or quality problems. |
