Container Recycling

Tri Rinse has been providing container recycling services from the base operation in St. Louis, Missouri since 1981. The primary goal is to eliminate the environmental liability associated with a chemical container and its previous contents, while also promoting full circle recycling. With Tri Rinse, there is no chance a chemical container will resurface somewhere as part of a major clean-up project coordinated by a state or federal government agency.

The Tri Rinse Value:

  • Our container destruction services eliminate the liability associated with a container, while providing secure, approved recycling outlets for the destroyed vessel.
  • Whether it is a time-critical pickup or multi-load project, the Tri Rinse Customer Services Team can provide a turnkey solution to fit your needs.
  • Tri Rinse can manage small-volume container projects to national container recycling programs involving hundreds of sites, products and container types.
  • The Tri Rinse team has developed processes for the most difficult and unique containers to process them safely, efficiently and economically.
  • When asked, "Why do you do business with us?", our customers have told us:

  • Tri Rinse has recycling programs established with major crop protection manufacturers as well as state and local agencies around the country.
  • Any residual product and all process water is containerized and set aside for disposal at an approved Treatment Storage and/or Disposal Facility (TSDF).
  • Steel containers are crushed to a height of 5 inches and taken to a local steel mill where they are recycled into rebar.
  • Plastic containers are granulated into a flake and then put through our plastic wash system. Once the plastic is dry and paper-free, the plastic is recycled into products such as drainage tile and drainage pipe for agricultural use.
  • A certificate of destruction/recycling will be issued upon request for all chemical containers recycled at Tri Rinse.
