POSITION

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Identifies plant improvements that are aligned to the Business Technology Plan objectives (through RCIs, Audits, Gap Analysis, Project Ideation sessions, etc.)
  • Assists the Business Unit Leaders in identifying key measures using plant performance data analysis
  • Validates improvement opportunities and assists in the sustainment of the Improvement Pipeline
  • Partners with plant operation personnel to secure process data for identification of technology gaps, improvement opportunities, and project definitions
  • Provides technical plant support in specialized areas including process simulation, modeling, risk analysis, and process optimization
  • Executes projects safely as identified in the Business Technology Plan and Improvement Pipeline
  • Provides updated work instructions and training to the operating team
  • Assists others in collection and analysis of improvement project results and data
  • Assists in managing Asset Utilization and project budgets
  • Provides data to validate that projects deliver performance objectives after implementation
  • Provides plant level support to other projects, which may include fulfilling roles defined in LEAN/Six Sigma/Project methodologies.
  • Other duties as assigned
DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENT
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering:  Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent
  • 5-8 years of applicable experience in a plant or industrial environment
  • Strong leadership and communications skills with ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Positive, approachable, and collaborative
  • Objective, open-minded, outside-the-box thinker, change agent
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Must be highly motivated to work independently and in teams
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Able to travel up to 20%
  • A strong awareness of health and safety
  • Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook)
